Two years old!

Isaac has turned Two!

Don't worry, his presents are recycled so I don't feel like I went too crazy. Plus I feel sorry that his birthday is so close to Christmas. Just like mine, Marc's, and the new baby's. This month with forever be super busy.

Nanny

You know your nanny is from Bolivia . . .

When you see a giant tiger in your son's crib,

and you see a huge birthday cake in your fridge - that is half frosting.

After work and after Mary (our nanny) went home, I came in to get Isaac up from his nap and he was sleeping, yes sleeping, with this stuffed animal in his crib. I was so surprised and I couldn't stop laughing.

Johnny - doesn't it bring back memories of Guatemala. Oh, me encanta el tigrito!

On the way home we stopped by South Philly to have a healthy cheese steak.

This time we tried Geno's instead of Pat's. We think Pat's steaks are better - but greesier.

Princeton Symposium

So what do I do after my appointment with my Midwife - who informs me I'm 2 cm dilated and the baby's dropped? I leave and visit Princeton Unv. for a symposium.

While Marc attended the conference, we visited the Art museum - the boys actually really enjoyed the exhibits and were surprisingly well behaved. A miracle for a 9 month pregnant mom of 2 toddlers.

Birthday Parties

A few weeks ago Daniel attended a couple birthday parties:

First, his school friend Quinn turned 4!

Daniel was in this moon bounce for an hour & was quite upset when it was time to go - I see why so many Utah families have trampolines - including my parents, who actually have two.

Isaac loves his hat - or I guess cookie monster. He has a toy that sings the cookie song and he loves to sing "Crunch, crunch crunch."

Here are the boys more interested in throwing rocks down a drain than getting free candy.

There were so many people at Eastern Market that we soon left. I guess the boys now know what a rock concert feels like.

We then headed to our church's trunk or treat party. It was there that the free candy concept caught on.

Halloween Program

Daniel's School had a little Halloween program.

He dressed up like a giraffe at preschool b/c the dragon/alligator/dinosaur that he will be for trick-or-treating was not appropriate for school due to the "aggressive behavior" it may have produced. All super-heroes were banned as well.

He still growled as a a giraffe - so I had to remind him that giraffes were herbivors.

They had a little parade around the block - which is actually the block of the Supreme Court house.

After the parade they all looked for the hidden treats - which were raisins and Goldfish crackers.

Carving Pumpkins

Like the rest of the Mormon world we carved pumpkins for FHE.

First they drew the face -with permanent marker (Yes, Marc gave two toddlers a permanent marker to use),

and Daniel insisted on drawing a "frowning face"

Marc's skilled hands make the first cut,

then the chubby finger remove the seeds, oh so carefully,

then the candles are lit and the toddlers play with the fire.

Safety is always first in our house.

Aunt Ashley Visits DC

Yeh! The newest Evanson was able to visit us in DC.

She will be an editor for the world renown Daily Universe so BYU sent her out here for a Journalism conference.
