Yellowstone National Park

An Eagle in Yellowstone

Bison and Daniel's cheese.

The view along the drive from Yellowstone to Montana

More of the view

The boys in PJ's feeding the chipmunks.

The drive looked like 30 miles on the map,
but little did we know,
we had to pass over a the Bear tooth mountain range (part of the Rockies).
It took hours.

Fun times in Sandy

This is what I miss
I thought Guangzhou wasn't polluted until
I saw the view from my parent's home in Sandy.

Daniel loved the blue skies, the trampolines,
the endless treats from Grandparents etc. . .

Oliver walking on grass - in a YARD - not common in Guangzhou

Daniel loved Uncle Johnnie's long board.

There he goes.

Farewell

Another party for June 20th.
A goodbye to the most selfless family in Guangzhou!

Primary Activity

Daniel also celebrated his Birthday during an activity
with all the children from our congregation.

They made pizzas

and had a water fight.

Oliver tried to join in the fun,

but he preferred to just drink the water.

Daniel, even with is hatred of wet clothes, participated.

Marc enjoyed it as much as the children

Five years old

Daniel's special day started with breakfast in bed

Then we had a party with Mr. Birthday as the theme.
First they played musical chairs then we played pin the hat on Mr. Birthday's head.

Most of Daniel's friends had left for the summer so
only his "girl friends" remained.

All the girls colored pictures of Little Miss Birthday,

and then they all filled up on snacks and cupcakes.
Daniel received several books for his birthday, including 5 new Mr. Men books!

One of his friends gave him this fun puzzle that they all enjoyed putting together.

Thank you to all those who helped make Daniel's birthday so special.

Water skiing in Zhencheng

At the lake in Zengcheng
They have a trampoline on the dock for wake boarders
and the boys used it to wrestle.

Oliver likes the driver's seat.

This water skiing lake is an hour drive outside of Guangzhou
Marc has already been 5 times.

Sorry for the blurry picture -
It was the best I could do while holding the three boys.

Yes, I know, no life jacket

Time for some wake boarding

Woods

More nature walks to our neighborhood "woods"

Isaac wears this Spiderman costume daily,
even in the extreme heat of Southern China

Preschool's last days

Daniel's graduation was a few days before the last day of school.
So here are a few photos of what they did.

Daniel's birthday is later in June so they celebrated it early -
The teacher would put a candle on the cupcake and
I would talk about Daniel that particular age.
He loved hearing about what he was like at each age.

Isaac is a regular visitor

The teachers give a child a favorite book for a birthday gift.

The last day of school -
We will miss daily encounters with the two best teachers in Guangzhou.

Daniel's preschool was only a flight of stairs away.
I'm glad Isaac will be attending this fall.

Lyches

ePicking Lychees in Southern China -
Our June 2009 Branch Activity

Isaac was a little greedy with the fruit.

Daniel just climbed trees.

It was incredibly hot and we only lasted 20 minutes.

Oliver liked the sweet flavor.

After the fruit picking, we ate some lunch and cooled off.

Daniel explored downstream,

while Isaac tried to go swimming.

A few friends that joined in the fun.

Graduation

Daniel has graduated from preschool!

He seemed to have problems with the hat

a few times.

class of 2009
