Boston

The Boston vacation to visit the Ben Cooks: April 2006
We were able to see the Plimouth plantation:
This little girl loved Daniel and followed him around in the stroller.

Here are Daniel and Calvin at the plantation where the colonist play as if they live in the 1600's. We also saw Plymouth rock and the Mayflower II

Sweet Caroline!

Marc and Ben were able to attend a Red Soxs and Celtics game. The Red Sox's culture was contagious and we found ourselves watching another game at 11:00 pm in a coffee shop in the North End eating cake from Mike's Pastries (those of you from Boston will understand).

The Aquarium was too much fun for the boys - here's a picture of them both sleeping.

Unlike serious Daniel, Isaac always has a smile to share

After the Aquarium, we had fish and chips & clam chowder at this great restaurant called the Barking Crab. We then visited the Children's museum: Here's Daniel busy playing.

Daniel still hard at work at the Children's museum.

Daniel and Calvin playing basketball in Ben and Lora's backyard. We loved their quaint community on the south shore.

Easter

Easter egg hunt at Lincoln Park.
The little ones had to look really hard to find the "hidden" eggs

When they were allowed to pick up the eggs

Daniel just stared at the giant bunny.

Daniel and Madison

Notice how many eggs they picked up.

Isaac chubbing-out in his stroller.

His abdomen reminds me of Uncle Justin's.

Tulips

On Friday, April 14, 2006 we went to the Tulip library on the
National MallDaniel enjoyed throwing his football in the tulips

When I took the destructive football away he just found a stick to destroy the flowers

Isaac watching Daniel -his usual entertainment.

Cousins

This week Janie, Crystal (Marc's sisters) and Janie's four children; Matthew, David, Nathan and Kate, drove down from Connecticut to visit.
The cousins and French toast

The paddle boats at the Tidal Basin

(Notice the war wound from cousin Kate).

Rainy Afternoon

Today we attempted to see the parade downtown but the rain was too much. Here's a picture of the boys warm and dry inside the stroller.

Daniel loves his new horse. I went to a yard sale and Daniel would not get off this rocking horse. I HAD to buy it. It was only $5 so Daniel won the battle I wasn't willing to fight.

Cherry Blossom Festival

Marc and Daniel at the National Cherry Blossom Festival.

Here's Daniel with his two girlfriends, Madison and Penelope. They're standing at the Thomas Jefferson Memorial where the cherry trees circle the Tidal Basin. We had to really watch Daniel so he didn't jump in the water.
