Layton Cousins

The Laytons (my younger sister's fmaily) came to visit before my parents and the Nielsens.

Danile, Emi, and Paige @ Roosevelt Island.

Isaac playing in the water that probably contained the source of the virus.

A view of Emi's, Miles' and the elephants' backs.

Chubby Evan (only 5 months old)_

Fourth of July

The fourth of July consisted of watching the "exciting" parade.
Paige's face explains how "exciting" it really was.

The Layton cousins, Paige and Evan.

Emi was in the National Gallery of Art finding better things to do -like find a bathroom. We all got a virus that reeked havoc on the Evanson Clan. We all passed around gastroenteritis for a week.

Daniel doing ?

Paige on the National Mall right before the fireworks started.

The view of the fireworks over the Washington Monument- my Camera didn't take great pictures of the actual fireworks so you'll have to just imagine it.

Potomic River

The whole family rented boats to explore the Potomic

A great view of Georgetown University

Isaac learning the art of rowing.

Because we had two children we were stuck with a canoe.

The rest of the family cruised by us in their kayaks.

A view of Key Bridge and my pregnant state

Before all the family left we watch the airplanes land at National Airport -

A family of pilots didn't enjoy it as much as I thought - I guess the loud noise and hot weather killed the excitement.

All the family seeking shade in the pine trees

More Airplanes - My Dad loved to critique the landings

Isaac dirty and busy playing - with a stick of course.

Grandma Maxine's Tree house

The Tree House

Here's Marc cleaning up the branches at the tree house -It looks just like Grandma's house and the boys loved to play in it..

Don't you love Marc's sunglasses - they were a free "gift" following his Lasix surgery (which he had a week prior) - Apparently 20/15 vision hasn't helped with taste in sunglasses.

The boys trying to help

We were the first to sign our names!
The common after Isaac's name is still a question mark.
For those of you who don't know, we're expecting another boy in November.
We used up all our boy name so any suggestions would be appreciated.

Bear River

Playing by the river

It was all fun and games until Isaac couldn't stop playing in the cow pies.

So we moved to a cleaner stream.

This dog is not Grandma Maxine's - Her dog was not so happy to see children. The first night he bite Daniel on the face. You would think a dog bite on your face would teach you a lesson - not so with Daniel. He continued to torture that poor animal the entire time.

Goodbye clothing

Horses @ the Grandma Maxine's ranch

Of course we visited Grandma Maxine's Ranch in Grace Idaho.
Isaac loved to gallop and cried every time we took him off the horse.
It looks like Marc is about to drop him in this photo.

Daniel loved to ride as well - but I think Isaac is the true Cowboy.

Marc with Isaac . . . again

Birthday Fun

Daniel's Three!!!

Grandpa Steve's presents included a ride in the Back-hoe,

Lifting up and dumping Crystal and Chase,

And finally, his very own back-hoe.

Luckily there is a dirt pile in the back yard - Perfect for three year olds!
Thank you Steve and Linda for a great Birthday Party.

Visiting Grandma Cook

Before we head of to China we visited all the Grandma's
Here is Isaac at Grandma Cook's house.

The boys loved seeing all the farm animals near the house

- chickens, donkeys and lamas were the favorites

Daniel love Grandma's couch

And Isaac loved her sunglasses

and fireplace.
Thanks Grandma Cook for the fun times!

Mill Creek Canyon

Sunday afternoon we enjoyed tin-foil dinners up Mill Creek Canyon.
(Only a few minutes from Grandpa's house)

Daniel with "BUZ Light-year"

Don't ask me where Isacc's pants are -

Swimming @ Grandpa Steve's

Utah vacation
Our visit to Utah included a dip in Grandpa's pool whenever we could.

Daniel loved this crab and the freedom he had while swimming in it.

Needless to say he also loved the water gun.

Isaac enjoying the water

My boys

We already miss the pool - until August. . .
