Picking Raspberries

A couple weeks ago we picked some raspberries with our friends.

Eli and Isaac are only two weeks apart -and you thought only the Cooks made big boys.

This is the only time Isaac actually picked any raspberries -

he was usually shoveling handfuls of raspberries from my bucket into his mouth.

Daniel enjoying the fruit of his labor.

This time, Daniel helped pick quite a few raspberries. He had his own bucket that Isaac also attacked.

Preschool

Daniel has started Preschool!

It's only 11 hours a week but he loves it or maybe he just loves his spiderman lunch box - it's a toss-up.

Isaac seriously missed Daniel on his first day of school - he kept looking for him, going from room to room. In two months he'll have his younger brother to keep him company but I don't think he'll be as entertaining.

Palmyra

The Joseph Smith home

Thanks to loud little boys, we were excluded from the tour.

It looks as if Andrew and Isaac didn't mind.

Who would've guess throwing rocks in your hair was so much fun.

Some of the boy cousins

Isaac near the sacred grove -
Our spiritual experience consisted of Daniel finding a toad and then squeezing it to death.

Lake Seneca

Lake Seneca, New York

For Labor Day - Marc's family all traveled to one of the finger lakes in upstate New York. The church owns several cabins right on the shore. Daniel loved camping - especially the camp fire. There are 8 boy cousins and poor Kate is the only girl cousin. Needless to say, I wasn't surprised to find out that our new addition will be a boy.

Isaac's dirty camping face.

We all went to church at the Peter Whitmer Farm (Where the church was organized).

Flight home

Our flight home.
Marc only made it out west for the day of the wedding so I traveled alone with the boys.

Daniel, again without clothes.

It was a battle I didn't want to fight with an audience.

And may I say portable DVD players are sent from above.

Isaac in a good mood for the flight - Yeh!

Daniel took this picture of my expanding belly - It doubled in size while I was on vaccation.
I was forced to tell my work about my pregnancy when I returned - I had been hiding it with my lab coat.

Montana

On our way home we stayed with another Uncle Tom - my mom's brother this time.

Isaac loved the John Deere

The wagon was well used by all the cousins.

This was when they were all getting along - It soon turned ugly.

I failed to mention that PJ's are the one item of clothing Daniel will wear willingly.

Isaac loved that he could reach the apple tree himself - He loves having access to food!

Red Rock

I also have many memories of Red Rock canyon.
It was fun to bring my own children to this beautiful spot.

Clothes off again for Daniel

Isaac trying to get a drink.

Adam slid down this- The galcier water was too cold for me.

There's Adam - still a little dry. He soon was completely wet.

Cameron Lake

Cameron Lake is located on the border of Brisith Columbia.
This moose was making life interesting for the boat renters - I think they were upset it was disturbing their business.

My boys missed the moose - they were asleep in the car.

Paige unsure about this moose.

Evan looking for food.

Above the lake is the continental divide.

Waterton Lake

Waterton Lake is in Montana and Alberta. It also has the best skipping rocks - I've never seen better!

Daniel looking over the selection of rocks - Yeh! he has clothes on!

Isaac trying to make a splash.

Isaac's two favorite activities involve food and a stick.

My little sister with her not-so-little baby.

Waterton: Cameron Falls

Waterton/ Glacier National Peace Park
Along the border of Montana, Alberta and British Columbia is the most amazing national Park. I can't count how many time we've visited it - but it never gets old.

Check out this months National Geographic - it's all about his park! (except they call it Glacier-Waterton, I prefer Waterton-Glacier, blame it on my Canadian pride)

The Cheese

Daniel busy throwing rocks.

Cardston

No trip to Canada would be complete without a visit to where my parents tied the knot.

Daniel in his pull-ups.

He actually didn't need them but when traveling you can't be too careful. He still thinks clothes are optional.

Isaac attached to his blanket.

All the cousins.
Isaac does this face when saying cheese - It looks like he's in pain.

The Farm

While I was home for the wedding - We headed 12 hours north to visit my grandma in Canada.

Daniel loved holding these kittens. The poor animals had to endure hours of torment from all the cousins.

Daniel wouldn't even leave the kittens to see the sheep - Isaac was nice enough to accompany me. He loved saying "Baaah" over and over again.

The four wheeler.

I didn't actually get any pictures of them riding it - I guess Missy will have to send me those pictures too. Nor did I get any pictures of my grandma. Que lastima!

The farm -

Johnny's Married!

The final Evanson is hitched!

Everything was beautiful - the wedding, lunch, and reception. I was too busy chasing two boys to get any more pictures. Missy - you'll have to send me all of yours.

Congratulations Johnny and Ashley!
Here's Daniel at the temple trying to shut the gate. If you look closely you'll see his muddy pants. While we were inside he ran through the flower beds which were wet from the morning rains.
