I think 3 months old is a little young for the tango show.

The women's outfits were small and tight.

The boys' tennis lessons (wearing red b/c of San Valentin).

They play on clay here which gets all over their shoes and then get all over EVERYTHING.

La Plata

A visit to La Plata (a city 1 hour South of BA) is not complete . . .

without a visit to the children's republic.

Evita built this mini city for the children to enjoy.

The boys loved making some hand puppets.

There was also a miniature train and station.

We rode it all around the Republic.

Zoo, ecological park & a visitor

More January activities:

A visit to another Zoo called Temaiken - located outside Buenos Aires

It is very similar to a zoo you would find in the States -

It was a super hot day so we didn't last long.

Another day we visited an ecological reserve in a part of the city called Puerto Madero

One day we found this tortoise in our backyard

We enjoyed its company until our neighbor claimed him.

Science Museum & Corrientes Street

In January (our summer vacation) we stayed busy visiting several sites around Buenos Aires

Here the boys are finding fossils at the Science Museum downtown.

We also visited Corrientes Street,

which is similar to Broadway street in NYC

There are several theaters in this area and

we met a few characters advertising a play.

We decided to see a play with Disney characters -

I love this photo of Marc discussing the play with Cinderella.

The entire play was in Spanish so the boys couldn't follow the story -

At least they have a few musical numbers that they enjoyed.

There was no A/C so Henry was very hot. Poor guy.

Tigre

One weekend we took a train to Tigre and then a boat around the delta.

We were lucky Henry didn't get over -heated b/c it was a very hot day and he was only 2 month old.
