Spring has Arrived

We all enjoyed the nice weather at the park. The boys are in front of our condo and across the street is Lincoln park. We spend most of our spring days there.

Here's Isaac enjoying the spring weather. I still make him wear a hat because, just like Grandma Evanson, I always think my children are cold.
We went swimming at Eastern Market DC public pool. Daniel loved playing in the lockers as much as he did swimming.

Isaac's Favorite Activities

Sucking his thumb

Sitting on Mom's and Dad's lap

The Elephants Return

Here are the elephants walking down our street . . . again.

Daniel was just as excited to see the street sweeper following the elephants.

Kite Festival

March 25, 2006
Saturday we all went to the Kite festival by the Washington Monument.

Marc teaching Daniel how to fly a kite.

Daniel was more interested in the dogs, and bubbles at the festival.

After flying kites, we had lunch at one of our favorite pizza places in DC. It's in a small basement where you have to stand to eat. They serve the best thin crust pizza and there is always a large supply of root beer.

Johnny Jump-up

March 21, 2006
Isaac has finally tried the Johnny Jump-up. He hasn't figured out how to jump so he just hangs there. Daniel likes to violently push him so I think we'll try it again in a few weeks. One thing Isaac did like is the easy access to his thumb.

Elephant Walk

March 20, 2006
On Monday 11 elephants and several horses from the circus walked down East Capitol street in front of our condo. Daniel was more excited about the horses - he has LOVED horses ever since our visit to grandma Maxine's ranch. Isaac didn't seem too entertained and Marc was amazed that he was seeing elephants outside our condo when he had been in Kenya a few days earlier and saw elephants in the wild.

Starting the Blog

This is our new blog. It's mostly for family and friends who would like updates on Daniel and Isaac. We hope to send lots of pictures and we would love to receive photos in return.
