Reunification Palace

The next day in Ho Chi Minh:
Reunification Palace

The south Vietnamese president lived here before it was bombed.
(and yes we're in Ho Chi Minh city not in the ASB on BYU campus)

A model of one of the tanks that stormed the palace.

A picture of that day, april 30 , 1975.

(Marc and I were in the womb at the time- seperate wombs of course).

Isaac has found a stick.

Oliver sitting below Ho Chi Minh

Isaac listening to the propaganda (our tour guide).

A view of the helicopter the president used.
The two large red circles mark the place where a Vietcong bombed the palace.
"He is a national hero that now works for Vietnam airlines"
Hmmm, Good to know.

Marc & Oliver with a view of the front gardens.
In the basement is where most of the war was planned or not planned.
Daniel loved the trapped dead cockroach between the map and the glass.

More maps.

Outside Oliver and Isaac took a rest from the way-too-long tour,

while Marc and Daniel fought with swords.

Marc haggling for some coconut drinks.

Isaac is happy, he has his blanket and his coconut.

Our next stop was a market where you could find anything -
Need a watch?
