Longhua Temple & Botanical Gardens
South of downtown is the oldest monastery in Shanghai
The boys enjoyed the Longhua temple
(Longhua refers to the tree under which Buddha achieved enlightenment)
Trying to keep up with them
-
You can see the pagoda in the background
The boys quickly learned how to idol worship
more worship
One of the many monks
Incense was everywhere and this place smelled like we were camping.
We then headed to the botanical gardens where were attacked -
Isaac was sleeping in the stroller but he wouldn't come out to meet the many cameras.
We finally found an area without herds of people.
If looks could kill
The boys couldn't pass up the always-present rides.
I think this helicopter ride is from the 70's
I'm amazed we didn't have any injuries from this ride.
